Sensory Readable Suite includes companion apps β€” small, focused tools that complement the main Readable application. Each addresses a specific reading or accessibility need, and they all work alongside Readable on the same Windows PC.

What the companion apps do

Sensory Tint
A coloured screen overlay for users with visual stress (Irlen syndrome / Meares-Irlen). Tints the entire screen to a comfortable colour.
Sensory Ruler
An on-screen reading ruler β€” a horizontal bar that follows your reading position to help track lines without losing place.
Sensory PDF Reader
A standalone accessible PDF reader (Windows, Mac and Chromebook). Reads PDFs aloud, supports text and freehand annotations, and is JCQ-compliant for UK examinations.
PDF Convert
Convert PDFs (including scanned ones) into accessible formats for reading.
Sensory Markers
Add visual highlights and annotations to documents and the screen.

How to access the companion apps

Each companion app installs as a separate Windows application, available from the Start menu. Some can be set as your default handler for that file type (for example, you can set Sensory PDF Reader as your default PDF viewer in Windows β€” Readable doesn't change defaults automatically). All share visual design language with the main Readable product.
