Sensory Writeable includes a formatting toolbar above the text input area, giving you standard word processor formatting controls.

Formatting options

  • Format — Apply Bold, Italic, or Underline to selected text.
  • Font Colour — Change the colour of selected text using the colour palette.
  • Highlight Colour — Apply a background highlight to selected text for revision or review purposes.
  • Lists — Create numbered lists or bullet-point lists.
  • Indent / Justify — Indent text and change justification: left, centre, right, or full.
  • Font Size — Choose from a range of font sizes.

Text-to-speech Play button

The formatting toolbar also includes a text-to-speech Play button. Click your cursor into the text, then press the Play button to hear the text read aloud from that position. This works in both the input pane and the comment pane. For full text-to-speech settings, see Text to Speech.
