The Flow command analyses the readability of your text β how smoothly it moves from one sentence to the next and from one idea to the next. Writeable identifies abrupt transitions, repetitive sentence structures, awkward phrasing, and breaks in logical progression, and suggests ways to improve the reading experience.
What Flow analysis produces
Writeable produces a list of specific suggestions for improving the flow and readability of your text. Use the text-to-speech feature in the comment pane to hear the suggestions read aloud, which can help you judge whether proposed changes improve the rhythm of the writing.
Flow analysis focuses specifically on how the text reads as continuous prose β it complements Structure analysis (which looks at the overall shape) and Style analysis (which looks at vocabulary and tone).
We suggest reviewing suggestions carefully. If helpful, use the built-in text-to-speech to hear them read aloud.
Offline and private: Writeable does not send your text to the internet. All analysis is performed locally on your Mac using an on-device AI model.
